Smarter Systems for a Smarter Planet
The world's activities represent transactions--which add up to and constitute relationships that, over time and due to their results, become the foundations of trust and success. To manage those transactions, businesses, governments, nonprofits and international organizations need dependable IT systems that can heal themselves when broken, protect themselves when threatened, and provision additional computing power and storage when needed. Such systems are "smarter," in that they are able to perform tasks on the fly that once required hours and days of human analysis and intervention to achieve.
Dynamic Infrastructure
Globalization and knowledge-based economies are forcing companies to embrace new business models and rapidly emerging technologies to stay competitive in a fast-moving market. Yet the day-to-day pressure to run the business more cost-effectively – while also supporting business growth and innovation – is very real. The IBM Dynamic Infrastructure initiatives – Service Management, Energy Efficiency, Asset Management, Virtualization, Business Resiliency, Security, Information Infrastructure – will help improve service, minimize cost, and reduce risk. We can speak to Dynamic Infrastructure and to each of the initiatives in depth.
