New iPad App

Here's a place you don't see IBM very often: The Apple iTunes store. No, we didn't just release a new recording of the historical "Ever Onward" - although you can find that and other big IBM hits here. But we did release to the public the "IBM Mobile Systems Remote" app. It's a great little app that some folks at IBM Research put together to explore how administrators would like to access management functions from mobile devices like the iPhone. It's still in "experimental" stage, but we found it pretty interesting. You can see a recording we made of the app running on an iPad, right here on the VBC. Or, you can also find out more about the project and provide feedback at the project's web page. Feedback to the development team will be important to make sure we get the right functionality as we go forward with this technology. What functions do we need? What's the most useable way to deliver them?
And although I'm usally the first one to complain when I see another "Are you Sure?" pop-up message when I'm trying to get something done - in this case, maybe one more "Are you Sure?" is a good idea for a mobile device I'm carrying in my pocket!
